While My Guitar Gently Weeps - George Harrison

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps

I don't know why nobody told you
How to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you

I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
Every mistake, we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps

I don't know how you were diverted
You were perverted too
I don't know how you were inverted
No one alerted you

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at you all
Still my guitar gently weeps

Songwriters
LENNON, JOHN / MCCARTNEY, PAUL / HARRISON, GEORGE

There is an interesting story about the Les Paul George played while recording this song. It was a gift from Eric Clapton and it was stolen at one point. However, George got it back from the man who bought it at a pawn shop and George gave him two other guitars in exchange.
